Velocette LTD got its start in 1904 in Birmingham, UK. They began as a family owned firm, and prided themselves on the hand built motorcycles that they provided for those in the area. The engines that they produced, including a 350 cc and 500 cc single cylinder engine, won a number of records, including 24 hours at 100 mph and two world championship titles, in 1949 and 1950. The designs of their motorcycle, which were rather unique for the day, were innovative and Velocettes continue to be popular in the classic scene. The Velocette Motorcycles Company went out of business in 1971. Preservation cycle is proud to service, restore and repair Velocette motorcycles.
